About

In essence, therapy is you and me, sitting in a room, being honest together. It sounds simple, but when the connection is real, it can be a transformative process.

For most of us, it’s hard to find a place where we can be our real true selves without fear of the repercussions or reactions. Here, you are actively invited to show up as you are, be it messy, complicated, broken, or simply lost; I’m here for you exactly as you are. Together we’ll explore what’s holding you back, bringing you down, and making things difficult. We’ll work through these things without judgment to help you move forward into a less painful, more fulfilling future.

A good friend once described therapy not as being led through the dark woods, but as someone you trust standing next to you, holding the flashlight.

Education
I studied fine art in my bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and years later returned to academia to study counseling. I received my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. I continue to engage in more specific therapeutic trainings and am receiving regular supervision from a clinical supervisor as I work towards professional counselor licensure.

Experience
My graduate clinical training spanned from K-8 students in a Philadelphia public school, to teens in a Philadelphia Charter high school, as well as adults in individual and group counseling at a private practice. In all of these settings, I have worked frequently with trauma, complex relationships, depression, anxiety, and a host of other situations. I also currently volunteer at the Life After Trauma Organization, which focuses on preventing trauma and helping people recover fully after trauma. This breadth of experiences has given me the opportunity to work in many communities and on a number of different focuses.

Despite the range of ages and settings, we all face similar struggles. Where is my future going? What baggage should I work to let go of? What strengths am I ignoring? Why do I keep getting in the same situations again and again? How can I make my life have more of what I want and less of what I don’t? No matter what you’re struggling with, I am here to listen and to help.
